Are you a mid to senior-level lawyer or executive, looking for something more in your career, and thinking about engaging a coach to help you achieve clarity or to change things up?
Whether you’re craving clarity on what your dream career by design looks like, want to finally move that great business idea off the backburner and into reality, feeling like your career is at a T (i.e. you’re “stuck”) or a Y (i.e. you’re wondering if you should be doing something else), or you want to get that next promotion or a new job but not sure what else you need to do (or perhaps you’re doing wrong), let me be your professional coach and show you how you CAN rewrite the rules …
Claire is an internationally certified coach, and a member of both the International Coaching Federation and The Institute of Coaching McLean/Harvard Medical School. She works with private clients and corporate teams to empower them to move their career, personal and leadership dreams into an active, actionable, pursuit. Her specialty is coaching lawyers because she knows what it takes to succeed as a lawyer, having spent over 30 years in both private practice and in-house.
Why do I need a coach?
No matter who you are, we all have 24 hours in each day. No more and no less. If you do what you have always done, you will get what you have always got. To change something, you must take action and a coach can be there to help you to make a change. If you feel like you’re not living up to your potential, focus on changing a few key aspects of your life.
The word coaching comes originally from the world of sport. All top athletes have a coach because their emphasis is on action, accomplishment, excellence, and having measureable results. Everyone deserves that and if you don’t know what you want, it won’t be long until someone else will tell you what they want you to do.
Executive and professional coaching is now a distinct service as people are increasingly shifting their allegiance inwards, by investing time, money, and effort into themselves and their careers. On the job work training may be a great short term success, but it is often not sustainable when you go back to the same office the next day, working with the same people who treat you the same way, resulting in old behaviours and habits simply being repeated. To achieve sustainable change, it has to come from within.
Having proven local and international success with 7 x World Surfing Champion Layne Beachley’s Aim for the Stars Foundation, the Property Council’s 100 Women in Property initiative, GROWL (The Global Rise of Women in Legal Tech), the University of Notre Dame Australia Law School and the Association of Corporate Counsel, Claire works with her clients to think openly and outside of the box on all dimensions of their lives – personal and professional, health and relationships.
There are plenty of people these days who call themselves coaches, however not all are professionally trained or certified in the psychology or science of coaching. Claire is a Professional Certified Coach (PCC), as awarded by the International Coaching Federation Credentials and Standards. Claire is also an Extended DISC Practitioner and FinxS Practitioner. She’s also a highly successful lawyer and continues to manage a boutique law firm so as to keep her finger on the legal business pulse.

How does professional coaching work?
Today’s roles are changing markedly and becoming more complex, to the extent that many of us are needing a champion “in our corner” but don’t know where or how to start. The thought of where to start for a client can be daunting – the people you know and admire may be generous, but they are probably not in a position to commit the time and resources you need. That’s when a professional coach who can work with you on your own personalised vision of success, your strengths, gaps and talents, can be an invaluable investment in your greatest asset – you – and assist you to find your voice and perhaps shift your thinking so as to realise the pathway to your goals.
As an experienced coach, Claire is effective at helping individuals’ access and utilise her extensive knowledge, training and experience to develop new ways of working and being.
